Description
Modeling is a mathematical practice that you can use to engage students in real-world, relevant problems. It allows students to draw on their background knowledge, make connections, and be creative! In this session, we will dive into two different tasks so you can experience mathematical modeling first-hand. We will explore pedagogical practices embedded in the modeling cycle and envision how you can draw on some or all of these practices with students in your classroom.
