Does group counseling seem like an overwhelming responsibility at times? You'll be walked through the entire process-from start to finish-of implementing group counseling as part of your own program. We'll start with deciding which groups to offer, end with analyzing the data to determine effectiveness, and cover everything in between. Learning Objectives: 1) Understand that group counseling is a vital part of the ASCA National Model in the delivery of an effective comprehensive school counseling program. 2) Understand the benefits of small group counseling in elementary/middle school. 3) Learn the steps - from beginning to end - for offering group counseling services as part of your program. 4) Know how to find and collect data to evaluate each group’s effectiveness and how students are different as a result of their participation in the group.
