Name
Teachers of Tomorrow
Description

The news keeps telling us that the teaching profession is in crisis: fewer people are studying to become teachers (NPR, Education Next); pay remains low compared to other professions that require similar preparation (Marketplace); and there has been a long trend of undermining public education and teachers (NEA). However, teaching remains one of the most, if not THE most, important occupation, impacting students’ academic and life outcomes and shaping the ideals of our nation as a whole. This session is targeted for prospective teachers and welcomes practicing teachers as well. If you are a practicing teacher or administrator, come help be a resource by sharing your experiences and wisdom. If you are studying to be a teacher, come to ask questions, make connections, and be supported.
