It’s true, over the past five decades, the K-12 schools across the Treasure State have provided a foundation for successful careers in graphic design. These formative classes, offer K-12 students the opportunity to develop their creativity, visual thinking, and technical skills, all essential in the creative industries. Through learning the principles of design, color theory, and composition, students develop their unique style and approach to design. This presentation explores the creative pathway from K-12 into higher education and beyond. Through examples of both personal and professional stories, how students found their footing in art classes across the state. Offering examples of individuals from both metro and rural areas, showcasing many that have been in your classroom. The 50-minute session includes open dialogue Q+A.
