Dr. Udo Fluck is a leader in cultural and global competence skill development and cross-cultural and international education. He is an intercultural researcher, curriculum developer, instructor, consultant, trainer, author, conference speaker and podcaster. With over 20 years of classroom experience, as a Clinical Professor of Management, designing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the College of Business, at the University of Montana, and developing and teaching hundreds of cultural and global-competence-building seminars in Montana K-12 school districts from 2014 – 2023, he has over 20 years of teaching experience.
Since 2023, Fluck’s research shifted slightly and focusses now on curriculum design with an emphasis on the integration of culturally diverse students in classroom settings, increasing retention and student success.
Born and raised in Wiesbaden, Germany, Fluck came to Missoula in 1989 for his undergraduate and graduate education. Fluck holds four degrees from UM. As a former international student, he has experienced successful cultural adaptation and integration himself, and as a curriculum designer developing pedagogical approaches and content to help others do the same, he has a unique perspective and experience he likes to share with fellow educators at the MFPE 2024.
