Craig Beals is a high school science teacher at Billings Senior High. He is the 2015 Montana Teacher of the Year, a National Board Certified Teacher, and a 2016 NEA Global Learning Fellow.
Craig loves to help students and teachers find a passion for learning science. He runs a website (BealsScience.com) and YouTube Channel (@BealsScience) to share his passion and to inspire science teachers to make learning fun. Craig’s work in science and education has taken him around the world to research sensitive ecoregions including Greenland, Belize, Borneo, Mongolia, Namibia, and Montana. Craig hosted a special for History Channel titled “Secret Earth: Yellowstone Supervolcano” and has since filmed several collaborative science and education videos for web and promotional distribution.
Craig holds a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Secondary Education Broadfield Science from Montana State University, and a Master's Degree in Zoology from Miami University - Ohio. He lives in Billings, Montana, and teaches at Billings Senior High School.
