Speaker Bio
Christine Simonsen, M. Ed, has a total of 17 years teaching a variety of high school science classes and is currently in her 11th year of teaching the PLTW biomedical science classes of PBS and HBS at the Billings Career Center in Billings, MT. Her dual degrees in Biology and Sports Medicine compliment her industry experience working in several different medical and health science professions for almost ten years. This powerful combination compliments her passion of teaching her students about the human body and todays’ healthcare system. Christine is an independent contractor for Anatomy in Clay, teaching teachers how to implement the use of AIC human learning systems into their classrooms and guiding body workers as to how they can use and learn from the system to have a better anatomical understanding in order to better serve their clients’ needs. This summer she independently designed and taught a very successful middle school summer camp using the Anatomy in Clay - Torziken® model. Christine is a strong proponent of the kinesthetic approach all AIC models offer students to learn and remember what their hands have built. Should you desire more extensive training on AIC products, she strongly encourages you to attend an in-person or virtual online AIC workshop that are offered throughout the year.
In her leisure time, Christine enjoys just about any type of outdoor adventurous activity that requires her to be physically active and allow her to be one with nature. She also enjoys being a spectator of just about any sporting event, but especially attending MSU Bobcat football games, spending time with her family at their lake cabin, and traveling to new destinations. As a life-long learner, Christine considers herself a true science geek, especially when it comes to the amazing and beautiful human body.
