Devin hails from the South. He grew up north of Atlanta where he obtained his B.S. at Young Harris College (a teeny school in north Georgia) and spent a couple of summers as a raft guide on the Nantahala River in North Carolina (or North Cackalacky, as he may refer to it) and a couple more summers as an instructor for Voyageur Outward Bound School. Devin moved to Missoula in the fall of 2020 for grad school at UM. Since then, he has gotten his M.S. in Environmental Studies, and has become the Civic Education Organizer at Forward Montana Foundation, focusing on youth civic engagement.
