Speaker Bio
Virginia Duke is proud to be in her ninth year as a BUILD staff member. She currently serves as their National Project Manager, managing the development of BUILD’s blended learning curriculum as well as the organization’s knowledge management systems. Virginia’s previous positions at BUILD include grant writing and program management, teaching BUILD juniors in Oakland how to run their own businesses and prepare for the college application process.
Prior to BUILD, Virginia taught English in Nepal on a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant fellowship and taught eighth grade math in rural Alabama. Born and raised in Montana, she is a 2011 University of Oklahoma graduate (Boomer Sooner!).
Virginia recently moved back to her hometown of Billings, Montana after 15+ years away. She is a fiction writer (represented by Liz Parker, Verve Talent & Literary) and a proud board member of This House of Books.
