Name
Cancelled -Puppets in the Second Language Classroom
Description
This session will cover the how and why of using puppets in the second language classroom. Studies show that puppets reduce students' nervousness to speak their second language, and thus have a variety of applications! Ideas include building cultural competency, free play application, storytelling, presentational speaking, and more! Teacher testimony, student examples, and academic research will lay the foundation for puppetry in the World Language classroom, but can also easily be applied to the ELA classroom as well.
