Description
This session will explore the pedagogy of the creative writing classroom, including the importance of famous works as example texts, how literary devices liberate the creative writing process, and the workshop process in general. Example writing prompts based on public domain works and literary devices will be provided as reproducible worksheets. Additionally, the session will include a discussion on the craft and technique of teaching poetry and how to workshop with different age groups. Come prepared to write, read, and discuss.
