As Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology continues to advance, it offers innovative solutions to enhance the teaching and learning of writing skills. This presentation will explore the benefits and practical applications of incorporating AI in writing instruction, catering to diverse learners, and fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration in the writing process. As an MUS Scholar for 2024, a lot of the work I will share will be from my leadership of a statewide Faculty Learning Community invested in creating meaningful composition pedagogy with AI. AI technologies present exciting opportunities to revolutionize writing instruction by offering personalized feedback, automating mundane tasks, and providing new avenues for expression. This presentation will delve into how educators can leverage AI tools to empower students at every stage of their writing journey.
