Description
In this hands-on session, participants will learn how to use Algebra Tiles to help middle school math students build their conceptual understanding of simplifying algebraic expressions and solving equations. Participants will practice solving problems in collaborative teams while experiencing the facilitation and questioning of a student-centered classroom. Participants will leave with a handout of student lessons ready for use in their classroom!
