This mixed-methods study used released data from the 2005 to 2022 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) to identify strengths in mathematics of American Indian students in grades 4 and 8. The commentary-based discussion provides insights into the post-pandemic resilience of American Indian and Alaska Native students on this exam in mathematics.
