Description
Mathematical modeling is a process that uses both traditional mathematics and real-world questions to encourage students to interpret data, engage in investigations, and represent information mathematically. This presentation will explore mathematical modeling and STEM for young learners, strategies to support STEM exploration through inquiry of the real world, and coding robots. Attendees will leave with ideas they can implement in their classrooms with tasks designed by teachers across the state in grades K-8.
