Montanan PBS Presents: The American Buffalo
Description
The American Buffalo is a new documentary by Ken Burns that premiered on PBS in October 2023. It is the dramatic story of the national mammal’s near extinction. In this breakout session teachers will view clips of the film and learn about resources for teaching with the film. Montana PBS will also share other local films and resources from PBS that teachers can use to bring IEFA standards alive in their classrooms. Media is a powerful tool for igniting conversations and inspiring action! This workshop is for anyone who works with students in grades 3-12 interested in sharing the rich history of the buffalo. Many other PBS resources will be shared, too!
