Butte's Superfund: Place-Based Scientific Literacy
Description

This workshop will be anchored in a scientific literacy framework mapped from science education research. Focused on human impacts and watershed health, teachers will engage in a place-based study of the Clark Fork Watershed. Focus will be on how to incorporate CFWEP's Watershed Science Curriculum into your classroom. Classroom outreach and support is available! Workshop highlights include background information about Butte's Superfund, an exploration of scientific literacy connections, an investigation of water quality from two Clark Fork Watershed sites, and networking with colleagues.
