Name
Western Displacement "Done Wrong by 'The Man'?" Gallery Walk
Description

Come and take a walk exploring the political sphere of civil right violations. Using various forms of media, attendees will experience a "Gallery Walk" exploring novels, photographs, propaganda, artwork, quotes, and poetry focusing on the displacement of groups of people in the Western part of the United States. The primary focus of the West is on Montana/Wyoming. Originally this is part of a larger unit conducted as part of a Proficiency Based Education of Western Displacement of Native Americans and Japanese-Americans Americans. The Gallery Walk tool itself was learned from a couple of retired librarians associated with the Montana Historical Society.
