5 Strategies to make assessment more equitable
Description

This session will focus on strategies to make assessment and grading more equitable in our classrooms. As teachers we work with students with many different backgrounds, learning styles, living situations, and quite simply different ways of thinking and interacting with the world. How can we set our own intrinsic biases aside to assess learning? With our experiences in the World Language classroom, along with research and reading on the topics of equity in the classroom and assessing students, we will provide teachers with strategies to help minimize bias when it comes to evaluating our students' learning.
