Montana is joining a growing number of states shifting toward more personalized, competency-based, and student-centered models of education. In this session, educators will build their understanding of the essential features of proficiency and competency based education through the following learning targets: "I can articulate the key components of proficiency-based education." "I can describe key organizational shifts involved in shifting toward a proficiency-based model." "I can identify and reflect on my own beliefs related to proficiency-based education." "I can discuss the current national and state-level work to transition to proficiency-based education models."
