Speaker Bio
Jessi Peterson is a registered dietitian nutritionist currently working toward a PhD in Adult and Higher Education. She received her undergraduate degree from Montana State University in Food and Nutrition Science and went on to complete her dietetic internship and master’s degree in Human Nutrition from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Jessi started her career as an outpatient diabetes educator and quickly saw the intersection between diabetes and disordered eating behavior which fueled her interest in eating disorders, weight stigma, health equity, and the impact of social determinants of health on health outcomes. Since 2023, Jessi has served as the Program Director for the undergraduate food and nutrition program at Montana State University.
Jessi is an engaging and dynamic educator, speaker, and instructor with clinical experience in diabetes, eating disorders, and other acute and chronic conditions in primary care and traditional outpatient programs. She has significant speaking experience on a national and state level translating evidence into practice. In her free time Jessi enjoys educating anyone who will listen on anything that she is passionate about including but not limited to making sourdough bread, her pet guinea pigs, or the art of wrangling her three children.
