Shelley is a lifelong Montanan, born and raised in Great Falls. She has taught middle school students for 28 years as and English teacher and a librarian. Currently a co-chair for the School Library Division of the Montana State Library Association, she worked for MFPE as a member organizer during the 2023 legislative session.
