Ashley currently teaches English language arts to grades 7-12 at Dodson Public Schools in rural Northeastern Montana. She actively incorporates place-based and culturally relevant pedagogies into her classroom instruction. As a Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching Research 2023-2024 recipient, she just completed her inquiry work on volunteer and informal participation in professional learning communities (PLCs) of in-service educators in Finland.
