Speaker Bio
Cortney has been with the Forest Service since 2020. For more than 12 years, she’s been educating at a variety of establishments from a Butterfly House and Aquarium and the Billings Public Library to Pompeys Pillar National Monument and Yellowstone National Park.

She has a B.S. in Environmental Education and Interpretation from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She’s a National Geographic Educator, Montana Master Naturalist, and winner of Region 1’s Gifford Pinchot Excellence in Interpretation and Conservation Education. She’s published professionally with Inside the Forest Service, NAI Legacy, and Montana Naturalist.

Cortney is residing and thriving in Great Falls, Montana with her husband, Kyle. In her spare time, she reads, hikes, travels, juggles, writes, and spends way too much time thinking about personal finances.
