The Traveling Planetarium: Bringing the Universe to Your Students — AM Session #1
Description
What if the universe could fit inside your school? With the Montana Learning Center’s traveling planetarium, it can. This immersive digital experience brings Montana’s legendary dark skies directly to your students—no buses, no permission slips—just engaging, standards-aligned exploration that makes space science come alive.
Join Executive Director Ryan Hannahoe for an inside look at how the mobile planetarium supports STEM learning across grade levels. You’ll learn how each live, interactive program is customized, aligned with Montana Science Standards, and connected to real-time celestial events—turning abstract concepts into meaningful, memorable experiences. The session will also highlight how the program operates, including setup, scheduling, and ways schools can integrate the experience into broader instructional goals.
Special Conference Experience:
This session is offered as a fully immersive planetarium experience. Live shows will run on the hour throughout the day (with a midday break), each featuring an interactive presentation and Q&A. Attendees are invited to connect and learn more about implementation, logistics, standards alignment, and funding opportunities.
Because in Montana, the Big Sky isn’t just something you see—it’s something you can bring to your students.
