Description
Writing Coaches of Montana (WCM) is a nonprofit organization of trained community volunteers who mentor students as writers and thinkers in all content areas, grades 5 through 12. Our training of coaches is based on best literacy practices. By working one-on-one with each student in the teacher’s class, Writing Coaches listen to students’ writing and ask thought-provoking questions to develop students’ competence and confidence in literacy. WCM does not charge for its services. We build strong, positive relationships among educators, students, community members, and pre-service teachers.
