Curious about bringing AI into your classroom without losing oversight or control? This practical session introduces educators to the design and use of AI chatbots in safe, teacher-managed environments specifically for K-12 learners. Participants will explore how chatbots can support inquiry, writing, feedback, and differentiation - while still aligning with instructional goals and classroom norms. Using SchoolAI as a hands-on example, we'll walk through the process of creating a chatbot, iterating to refine and improve, and monitoring student interactions to ensure proper and responsible use and to improve instruction.
