Description
In the 1950s, most Americans got their news by reading a newspaper, people frequently split their tickets when voting, Congress frequently passed major bills, and the Cold War dominated foreign policy discussions. Yet, none of that is true today. Therefore, this presentation will look at a variety of ways that American politics has changed over the past few decades. There will be some discussion on the following topics: Congress, the presidency, the courts, elections, political parties, the media, and policy making.
