Let's negotiate: Information gap and spot the difference activities
Description
In this session, learn two activities that both prompt negotiation of meaning: information gap and spot the difference. Both activities allow the practice of discrete vocabulary, are low-prep, and are research-based to prompt conversational repair needed for language acquisition. Participants will be able to define both activities, describe the rationale behind their use, and will have the opportunity to create an information gap that can be used immediately in class! Participants should bring a computer in order to create their own activity.
