This session offers a comprehensive introduction to Social Security Administration (SSA) programs, with a special emphasis on Survivor Benefits for children. Educators will learn how these benefits can support students who have lost a parent or guardian, including eligibility criteria, application steps, and the positive impact on a child’s financial well-being. In addition to equipping teachers with the tools to assist students and families during difficult times, this session will also provide valuable information about SSA benefits that can help teachers plan for their own financial security. By attending, educators will be empowered with knowledge to support their school communities and make informed decisions about their personal financial futures.
