Name
Resilience, Resistance, and Agency: Methods in Teaching about the Antebellum Period
Description
I hope to share with other high school and middle school teachers the latest scholarship I have learned from attending the Organization of American Historians Conference (OAH), an NEH seminar on Abolitionism and the Underground Railroad, and my own MA work on the long nineteenth century in American History to share some perspectives and tips for teaching about this timeline. I hope to demonstrate the use of different varieties of primary sources accessible through he Library of Congress.
