An overview of two 40-minute student interactive presentations on the history of voting rights in United States and the what, why and when of voting.
A 40-minute interactive presentation titled "Suffrage Timeline" detailing the history of U.S. voting rights from the Revolutionary War to present day, including slides specific to Montana's history of voting rights. Educators are encouraged to use this presentation in their teachings of voting rights history.
A 40-minute interactive presentation titled "Nitty Gritty of Voting" which explains who can vote, why students should vote, what voters can vote for, and a description of the different elections and when they are held. Students interact with each other in a game called "No Excuses for Voting" to learn why some voter who do not vote should vote.
