Name
Paper Batik
Description
Explore the vibrant world of Paper Batik, a wax-resist art technique using crayons and tempera paint to mimic traditional Indonesian fabric art—without hot wax or dyes. This hands-on session introduces a simple, engaging process that produces striking results through layered color and texture. I’ve done this project with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade—and even adults—and all love the process. Participants will leave with a finished piece featuring a crisp white and black border, ready to display and share with their own students.
