Media Mavericks is a new program by Montana PBS that invites middle and high school students to explore how they see themselves, their world, and their future. We bring standards-aligned media-making projects to classrooms, help students create original audio-, video-, and image-based content, and publish their work for showcase on the web. It's a great way to teach students useful professional skills and to provide educators with new educational activities that will excite and engage students. Resources include a toolkit with lesson plans, project ideas, tutorial videos, worksheets, gear recommendations, and so much more. The session is an hour-long professional development session with the objectives of providing tools, resources, and curricula foreducators who want to connect with teens through media-making projects and authentic audience.
