Name
Water, Systems, and Stewardship: Exploring Project WET’s Foundations of Water Education
Description
Project WET (Water Education Today) is an international, interdisciplinary program that promotes water literacy and stewardship through hands-on, science-based education. In this session, co-hosted by Project WET and the National Wildlife Federation, participants will explore Foundations of Water Education—a brand-new educator guide featuring 12 activities that teach the fundamentals of water literacy. Designed for educators working with students from early elementary through high school, this guide has something for every grade level. Participants will experience engaging Project WET activities, explore additional resources (including digital tools), and learn tips for putting Project WET into practice in local contexts. We’ll also connect water systems learning to Montana’s watersheds and environmental justice. Expect an interactive, informative, and fun session grounded in real-world relevance!
