Name
Prompt Wise: A New Digital Literacy for Students and Teachers
Description
Knowing how to prompt well isn’t just a productivity hack—it’s a new literacy skill. In this interactive session, we’ll explore how prompting functions as a form of critical reading, writing, and thinking in AI-enhanced classrooms. You’ll learn the building blocks of effective prompting, see how AI can mirror (and distort) your intent, and practice designing prompts for lesson planning, student support, and content creation. We’ll also dive into how to teach students to be thoughtful prompters—equipping them to question AI responses, revise outputs, and push for better thinking. Whether you’re new to prompting or already experimenting, this session will deepen your skillset and broaden your lens.
