Name
Empowering Student Researchers with Library/Academic Databases
Description
Are your students intimidated by library databases? No matter the discipline—English, social studies, science, or the arts—strong research skills are essential. This session will give an overview of some helpful database tools from EBSCO, Gale, JSTOR, and Newsbank and provide all secondary teachers with practical strategies to reduce frustration and help students find and use scholarly information from both digital and print library collections. Teacher librarians are welcome, too!
