Speaker Bio
Rylee is a fifth generation Montanan who grew up in Missoula and spent summers on the family’s working ranch in Absarokee. A Hellgate High School alum, Rylee graduated magna cum laude from Emory University. There, she founded Emory's Day On, a service day in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King. She also has a creative writing degree from the University of St. Andrews, and a law degree from Stanford where she served as the president of the student chapter of the American Constitution Society.
In 2021, Rylee founded Upper Seven Law, a nonprofit firm dedicated to holding the powerful accountable. Upper Seven is proud to have challenged HB 393, which diverts money from public schools through Education Savings Accounts, and HB 562, which would allow the state to privatize education in Montana.
