Speaker Bio
Growing up on a dryland farm in the Texas Panhandle, I was shaped by the scenes and stories of rural life. I now live in Missoula with my husband and our nearly grown four children. My artwork is informed by life in western Montana while still holding onto the experiences, places, and people that shaped who I am. I received my MFA from the University of Montana in 2025, where I currently teach printmaking. I have taught drawing, developed and led numerous workshops throughout western Montana, and exhibited my work both locally and nationally.

At the heart of my work is drawing, grounded in close observation of simple things. Sometimes it remains a drawing; other times it’s put through the rigor of printmaking. Each repeated impression becomes an allegory of life, shaped by the rhythm of seasons. The resulting image records both its process and an idea rooted in the balance between fragility and resilience.
