Name
Incorporating play into the classroom: Recommendations for K-6th grade educators
Description
It is a well-supported fact that play is a vital aspect of healthy development among children and youth. Creating encouraging spaces for students to explore through play leads to significant advancements in interpersonal, intrapersonal, and intellectual growth. However, balancing the academic and play-centered developmental needs of young learners in classrooms can often be a complex and challenging endeavor. This session aims to provide collaborative recommendations for educators regarding how to effectively manage this goal in order to provide students with the most holistic, supportive learning environment possible.
