Brooke Taylor is a math teacher at Senior High School (grades 9-12), in Billings, Montana, and is a Billings native although she's taught in four other states (Minnesota, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky). She enjoys learning for "fun" and creating lessons that involve cross-curricular content with math standards and Indian Education for All (IEFA). Taylor also teaches online courses for Montana Office of Public Instruction’s Teacher Learning Hub and is National Board Certified. She received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education and her Masters of Education in School Counseling. Taylor has worked towards her Educational Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with MSU and was a finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math & Science Teaching (PAEMST) in 2017 & 2021. Taylor has received the Teresa Veltkamp Advocacy Award for Excellence in Indian Education for All in 2019. She has partnered with various entities to participate in grant projects to enhance mathematics education in Montana, build capacity as a leader, and to expand the use of IEFA lessons in Montana.
