The new math standards are slated for full implementation in the summer of 2025. This training will provide valuable information regarding the changes and prepare teachers and district leaders for the impending changes. This session is geared specifically toward 9-12 educators. For middle-grade and elementary level changes, please see additional session offerings. Objectives: Comprehend the most significant changes. Identify resources for guidance. Engage with the proposed standards. Address and overcome barriers to implementation. (note to MFPE conference organizers: A 1 hr 50 m session is possible and will only include the above objectives. a 2 hr 50 m session would allow for some basic implementation work where educators could spend time aligning the new standards to a unit. I also require a minimum of 5 educators to make this session productive for their needs.)
