Description
When the Corps of Discovery set off for the unknown wilderness the left behind a doctor. Luckily, Meriwether Lewis had the best medical training of the day which including learning how to blister, bleed, and give patients a “healthy” dose of explosive laxatives. In this session, participants will learn a splash of medical history, explore the techniques of medical practices, and use the Corps of Discovery journal entries, with a guide of 1800’s medical procedures, to determine treatment.
