Twenty-four years ago, Tanya made the leap from first and second grade teacher to elementary counselor and never looked back! While she enjoys all aspects of school counseling, her passion is creating practical experiences that motivate her students, and ensuring that each individual feels safe, celebrated and supported. She has guest posted on The Corner on Character blog, was a guest on the Counselor Accents podcast, awarded Montana’s School Counselor of the Year in 2014, and currently serves as the Board Chair for MSCA. Recently, her school was awarded RAMP status and she became an ASCA Certified School Counselor. During the school year, Tanya can be found supporting, educating, inspiring and connecting with students at Highland Elementary in Billings.
